Well, the first dozen times I did that level, the same happened to me, but I think you have to go round each level of height at least once.

P.S the boss is HARD!!! It is Bowser + Bowser Jr!!! Try to get a mega mushroom before challenging them!

If you run out of time, you will die and be sent back to the world map. If you get through to the halfway point and die you will still be sent to the world map. If you re-enter without going into any other level or mushroom house you will have the full amount of time you have when you start the level so it should be easier to get to finish without running out of time.

It's actually not a long pathway, but if you take the wrong path you will here a beep. If you get the right path there will be a ping. The order goes bottom, top middle. The boss is easy, make you sure you have a spare fire flower though. Then just blast them and/or hit the switch like in the first castle.

AT THE START OF THE MIDDLE SECTION YOU can see there is 2 rows of blocs you don't need to remember them because you just need to walk on the ground and jump over the holes until you hear a clicking sound, then you'll go to the next part where you need to go over the top row of blocks, then in the next section you need to go through the middle of the 2 rows of blocks. Thhen you should come to the door.
