Question for New Super Mario Bros

Hi, how do you do world 5-3, the 1st boss? I am good until the massive spike ball comes out, how do you dodge it? Do you hide in the corner or something?

Keep jumping up and when the huge spike ball comes keep jumping up on those blue platforms and keep going higher and higher.once those blue platforms are gone and theres like those wall things try to be one the side of the way that the spike ball is not on and then jump from each wall to go up it.(jump left,jump right,left,right,left,right...etc.)until you get to the top of the thing then I think the spike ball disappears or something
