I've completed World 5, then World 6,and am now onto World 8. However, when I went back to re-complete World 5, to get to World 7, although I completed the last stage as mini-Mario, I cannot unlock World 7. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks

Did you kill the boss as mini mario? If you did it should automaticly take you to world 7.

You get Mini Mario from the blue mushroom then kill the boss.
