Just found Princess Peach

I just found Princess Peach and I'm supposed to go up the stairs to attack the ship that is shooting the castle. The luggage thing asks if I really want to save or go back to my most recent save spot. Why does it do that? What am I supposed to do? Do I go up the stairs and attack the ship with our own ship thing? Or am I supposed to go back somewhere for something?

Save, go upstairs
You can't save after that, and then theres shrowser (shroob bowser), the last boss

it asks that because once the ship starts attacking, you can't leave the castle again. It tells you to make sure you have everything you need because you'll need to fight the stringest boss(es) in the game if you crash the ship. So if you need to settle something you need to do it then. If not, just continue and climb.
