Question for Mario Kart DS
Is it really important to power-slide right & left & right & left & ... when ?snake-ing??
I mean if we look circuit 8, power-sliding left & left & left &... in long left curves (resp. right) seems to have the same effect on speed

It has a small effect on the speed so instead of going that 1/2 a second longer you get a small amount of time plus a miniscule boost. So it doesn't do much but it definately helps if you want to win races.

Well that is called snaking and my friend always does that and he always wins so I think snaking is a good thing on figure-8 circuit and you sure do need good practice because it hurts your thumbs after a while.I hope I helped.
