In the game what does it mean by racing the ''Staff ghost'' because I cannot..

You have to go to time trials and pick 50cc, mushroom cup, and then pick figure 8 circuit.

Racing the "Staff ghost" data means that your racing the person that tested the game when it first came out.

To unlock the Staff ghost data you have to get a certain time in that level. I forgot the time for each level but, I do think someone posted the time for each level I think the website was nither Cheat Planet or Supercheats.Check both websites.

The people who made the game, also added in their on own racetimes to test just how good you really are. This is in Time Trials.

I've got Staff ghosts on most tracks. Get good times on tracks to unlock them.

My best time on figure 8 circiut is 1:36:035 thats good enough for the staff gohst isnt it?

First, you have to get a REALLY good time on the course, and come within 5-10 seconds of the staff ghost. Then, the next time you race it, you will be able to race a ghost called "ninten*" followed by a bunch of symbols. They are killer times, but they can be beaten. I have beaten the ones on Figure 8 circuit, Walugi Pinball, Airship Fortress, Wario stadium, Peach gardens, Bowser castle I, and Sky garden(gba). It is handy to copy off of their tactics, and they can show you some shortcuts.

You have to get within 5-10 seconds of the staff time, it depends on the length of the track, for the figure 8 circuit I think it's 5 seconds and the staff time is, 1:36:481. Most staff time are really good but this one's a bit pathetic, I've almost beaten it by six seconds.

Every track has one of these.
