Question for Mario Kart DS

1) How on earth do you play balloon battle? I don't see the point so I never win. What are you suppost to do and how are you suppost to do it?

2) When you freedraw in the options mode, what is it for? Do you just draw for fun, or does it actually add something to the game?

1) The object of balloon battle is to get all of your opponents balloons out while trying to prevent your ballons from poping.

Procedures of Balloon Battle-
* Initially, you have 5 balloons, only one of which are inflated.

*Blow into the microphone when not pressing the A button to inflate a balloon. You can have up to three balloons at one time. You can also hold the SELECT button to inflate a balloon, but blowing into the mic will make balloons inflate faster.

* When all of your inflated balloons are burst, you lose, even if you have unused balloons you can still inflate.

* You will lose a balloon in each of the following situations-
1) You get hit by an item and spin out or roll.
2) You fall off the stage.
3) You get hit by a kart made invincible by a star.

HINT: You can also steal balloons from other players using a mushroom. They may not seem very useful but they are! Whenever you get a mushroom and your short on balloons get close to an opponent and use the boost power to steal a balloon. Don't worry if the balloon you stole isn't the same color as the balloons you started out with because it doesn't matter. NOTE: If you want to steal a balloon make sure you have an amount of inflated balloons that are less than three or you'll just trade a different color balloon with your opponent. Therefore nobody will lose any balloons and nobody will gain the number of inflated balloons they already have.

2) When your drawing in the options mode notice that the kart above you will have the picture you drew on the front of the kart and yes it actually adds something to the game. What you're doing is your actually replacing the normal emblem that you start out with on the game with your own emblem. This is called, as you probably already guessed, emblem drawing. An emblem is usually a symbol of your nickname. For example- if your nickname on the game started with an M like Mario you might make a fancy M as your emblem. Now if your nickname started with a letter that's unsymetrical like C you could make it symetrial in your emblem simply by turning it side-ways. Besides that you can make your emblem pretty much anything else. I mean it's your own style so follow it.
If there's anything you don't understand just ask another question.
Hope I helped!

1) Easy. You get items like shells, bananas, and fake questions. You shoot them or lay them down and others get hit and lose balloons. But you can get hit too. Oh, you can blow up balloons by blowing the Mic. Or pressing SELECT. But both are only possible if not pressing A. 2) It's not "freedraw". You make an EMBLEM for your kart. Say, a mushroom or another picture, your name, or a sentence. Mine says PSP Stinks! With green stinking odor above the word "stinks". But you know what? I see emblems on Wi-Fi that Iv'e thought someone downloaded off a site! Like an actual Pokemon picture. Or, a picture of someone. Not like a photo. Like a drawing. Hope I helped!
