While turning use drift then while drifting go left and right really fast on the ( sorry don't know what it's called but the little direction cross thing) until you see blue then gold sparks the gold sparks are the pstb

Well, I can explain it clearly. While going around sharp corners, keep pressing L and R. Soon yellow sparks will fly from your tyres. Then let go of L and R and watch your Kart go flying forward.

While holding L or R press left and right on the control pad (careful, you'll steer like that!). After a couple of times you'll see blue sparks, continue mashing your control pad and you'll see orange flames. Release l or are and away you go!

Press R And then hold left or right on the control pad when you see blue sparks hold down together when you see orange sparks relise the buttons TOGETHER!!!

What I do is press R and pretend you are turning left so drift left with left d pad and R, then (still holding R) Press right to get red sparks then press left, right again to get blue sparks. This has the same concept as Mario Kart Double Dash for Gamecube.
