There are many strategies. However, here's one that I found. It usually does quite well. First, grab a Monstrous Nightmare and make sure it has the moves Intense Heat and Fire Splash. Then, make sure that you have full emerald armor, and it must have full Offense and Accuracy. Dragon pattern works excellently. Then, when battling the Zippleback, try using Intense Heat-Fire Splash. Hope it helps!

It worked in one hit on the zippleback and the nightmare but with the night fury he applies haste to himself then keep baffling me until my auto critical hit flame runs out. And then it's my turn.

Here's another one...

Grab a gronkle. Make sure it has HP enduring (so evasion) emerald armour. Use protect against rake but make sure you still get wounded. Then use toughen up and protect. He will then use twist. You should survive. Then use heat risistance followed by another toghen up and then a strong attack like flail. The zippleback will use fire cloud, but as you have reflect, the damage will effect it and not you, causing it to die! Simples!

Moveset: Protect, Toughen Up, (a strong attack, flail recommended as it doesn't miss)' heat resistance and then whatever you want, (I have slam).
