I always went for accuracy, defense, and offense. Get the Dragon patterns for all three on the strongest material you can get your hands on. If you keep losing, switch one of three out for Striking pattern(offense, defense, agility). As for moves, this is the combination I use for the Night Fury: Speed Boost, Eagle Eye, Melt, Heat Up, Close Range, and Fire Orb. As for the Nadder, I would reccomend: Constrictor, Dart Storm, Whiptail, Stomp, Syphon, and Hunger. Hope this helped!

Go for PERFECT armor ( hint the best armor is the EMERALD it makes the power level 15,150

I'd go for cobalt armor all around if I were you... For the moves, Night fury: close range, fire orb, speed boost, claw, melt, char. Nadder:sting, dart storm, poke,stomp,hunger,razorback.Zipple-Back:hammer,feast,syphon,infect,talon,fire chain.Hope that's enough!

Before you enter the caves, the highest armor is Cobalt, so use Dragon patterns if you like to strike fast and hard (Smoke works for this too, but it doesn't absorb damage near as well) to suceed. I managed to get by with full Iron, but it's not recommended, because I just barely escaped with my life. Make sure to equip Perfect quality armor. This will boost your Fortitude high enough to hit really hard, fast, and take a lot of damage too. For the best move question, I am afraid there is no "best moveset"-that is a matter of interpretation on the dragon trainer's part. However, I found that using combos works well in the caves, and I made it using: Night Fury: Claw, Flip, Vortex, Speedy, Quick Recover, Close Range; Deadly Nadder: Sting, Dart Storm, Hunger, Razorback, Tail Shield, and a fire attack (Flaming Torch hits hard, but Ignite inflicts Burn, so your choice.) Note: When the foe is Poisoned, they also get another status effect, so if they get "Break" or "Dazed", then is the time to strike with Dart Storm. It hits really hard when these statuses are in effect. Good luck!

I think speed boost, vortex, and dash is a great combo for a bunch of chip damage, and then spray shot or something that rather disables, or has massive damage, as for nadder, I don't use really, so idk, also armour best, I'd say stay balanced.
