How do I raise the AP points of griffin and marlin? It just keeps saying 0 AP!

I've had this problem too, what it may be is that you haven't seen their black heart event. So their AP wont rise until you do
Marlins BLACK heart event is:
@ Vesta's house
6:00 am to 8:00 am, or 9:00 pm to 12:00 am
Griffins BLACK heart event is:
@ The Blue Bar
12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
