Your question isn't dumb. Everybody wonders that at some point.

3. Sorry, but no. You need an adult cow.

You get butter by throwing milk into your blender (mixer).

Well I can only anser one. If you have the blender get milk and put it in there. I just got the cookbook for the mixer and found out. You can also buy a cooking book for fraying pan, pot, oven, and no utensil. Hope I helped! SG

Hey! I've had the game for a long time, and I know a lot of the hints/cheats/glitches. Actually, you can get milk without a cow! As a matter of fact, you can get wool too! And the best part? It's unlimited! You can get as many milks/wool a day as your strength will allow! Here's how you do it:

1. Buy a brush, milker/shears from the Blacksmith (milker or shears, depending on your preferences. Wool earns you more money, but you need milk to cook a lot of recipes. It's up to you. Personally, I bought both :D)

2. Equip the brush, and stand in front of a horse/cow/sheep. (It doesn't matter which of the three animals you use, so long as it can be brushed. Logically, if you don't want to buy cows or sheep, you'd use your horse.)

3. Brush your horse, and while the animation is playing in the top screen, quickly switch to the milker/shears. (This is best achieved when you keep the milker/shears in the slot next to the tool slot, and you can switch them faster.)

4. Repeat! You can now get more milk/wool than you know what to do with, all in one day!

You really should do this while inside, so that you don't waste time, and if you have the truth bangle (purchased in the Casino of the Harvest Sprite House) it is really helpful to use to make sure you don't run out of stamina/fatigue. If you have any trouble making the switch work, odds are you aren't doing it fast enough. I reccommend hitting the button to brush, stylus in hand, and switching without glancing up to make sure the animation is playing. That wastes valuable time.
