I don't know how to get the person to run! In harvest moon GBA they can run, but now it's impossible.. And walking all this distance takes a looong time.. Is it possible to run?...

Just press the arrow for the direction you want to go and then when your walking press 'B'! Its easy.
You will need to get the teleport stone. You can buy it at the casino window at the start of the game. You can pop anywhere you want to go instantly. YAY.
I forget if you can run. But in the harvest sprite casino you can buy a pendant that lets you move anywhere.
