Question for Harvest Moon DS
I just got Muffy to the blue heart level, but I didn't get to do her purple heart event yet!
1. Would this affect my game later on if I'm planning to marry her?
2. Would it still work if I did her purple heart event(visited her at the beach on a rainy morning) if she has a blue heart now? Or do I have to lower her AP to purple heart?

It WILL still work if you try to do the heart event. You don't have to lower her AP. You will still be able to marry her if you've met the requirements (60 sprites, big bed, 2nd house upgrade, red heart).

I've never had a problem with that..... You just won't see her blue heart event before you see the purple heart event. Keep working on seeing her purple heart event- and then then next day you could possibly see her blue heart event. I believe in this game, you can only see one heart event, per person, per day.
