You can have two different games (diaries) going at the same time. But I reccommend saving one game to both of the slots just in case you accidently do something in one of them that you regret and then save over the mistake. Hope I helped.

Two different save files and like phantomregister says I advise you to save on both slots.

It has already been said before but Harvest Moon files often destroy themselves for the fun of it so I would save both files to one game and if you want to try out a cheat use the backup file so if it destroys your game or if you lose money you can always go back and forget about that whole incident

You can only have two files and yes they really do mess up alot so double saving is smart
