The Perfect Farm?

I am new to Harvest Moon and I'm wondering, is there a perfect farm in anybody's opinion? I mean come on! I keep starting and restarting making my fences because I don't know how big or small I should make the pens. Where should I Out the sheds and stuff? PLZ HELP ME!!!!!

Personally I find that if you build the buildings rather than plant plants and trees, you'll doo much better, because you can plant on other areas of the village but you can't build. So save your farm for buildings and animals and look at the marrage walkthrough to see what items your wife likes, for example, if you want to marry muffy, she likes apple pies, so get lots of cows and chickens and on other areas in the village plant apple trees and grass...each girl likes different items so use that walkthrough for help.

In conclusion, there is no perfect farm, what perfect to one person may be totally rubbish to another. Just build rather than plant on your farm and you'll do good.

I don't think you should build fences just build houses out of stone. And here is a tip in winter hire out the fishing team and put them at the sea, in a couple of days you'll be rich! Good luck!
