How do you get ores for upgrades? I really need to know!!
Also, do you have to buy a fishing rod to fish and if you do where do you get it?

To get ores for upgrades, you have to unlock the first mine in Carter's research site. To do that, you have to go inside the cave near Carter's tent I think after 12:00 p.m on any day.
To get the fishing rod, you have to go to Galen's house when he is there but without a tool, item, or accessory equipped. He will give it to you for free :D

To get ores go to Cater's digging site after 10:00 PM and you should be able to go in. To get the fishing rod go to Galen's on a saturday from I think it's 12:00 to 1:00 but you have to be friends with him
