If you bought something from Vesta, you didn't do anything wrong. It's not a glitch either. The reason you're crops aren't groing is because you also have to water the plants with your watering can. If you don't know how to do that, then put your watering can and press y in front of your watering hole. A sprite might appear if you haven't done it before. But after the sprite appears, go to the place where you planted your seeds and press y. Repeat the following step multiple times until you water all of your seeds. Then, do this every day and eventually it will grow to whatever kind of seeds that it is supposed to. If it doesn't word then you know that your game is screwed up.

This is not a glitch, just stand in one of the top corners of a square of 4 squares of hoed land

You have to make a 2x2 square and plant the seeds and water them.

You have to hoe four spaces like a square. Then, equip the seed, stand in the top left hoed space and plant. This works for all trees.

You need to give space for your tree.

Ok so you should be able to how about get other seeds because that is what happened to me but then I found out. Do what ou would normally do to plant your crops. So have 4 hoed plots then stand in the middle and sprinkle then water all of them. If it still doen't show I think you should get your eyes tested! No hard feelings (it could be something else)x
