how do you get the fishing rod???

Ok I have tried everything that everone says but I still can't get the fishing rod!!! I go to Nina's house on a sunny day with nothing equiped at exactly noon (0:00) and when it is noon they leave!!! Please please please please please help!!! Thank you soo much!!

You trigger the scene by going at NOON in the SPRING on a SATURDAY(with NO TOOL EQUIPPED). This should trigger the scene of galen finding a fishing rod then you will go in and get the fishing rod!!

You go to Nina and Galen's house (you can't teleport to do this) on Saturday at noon on a clear day between the hours 12 and 4 with nothing equiped. Then you go in their house, and you will see Galen talking about how he found his fishing rod and how he will never use it again, then. He asks you if you want to have it, then you say yes. And then you have your fishing rod!

it does not have to be sunny it can be raining and you can get it.

Um that's NOT how you get that!
You have to go to Galen's house on a Saturday that he's INSIDE from noon-2pm. You can't have anything in your slots otherwise you won't get it. Just keep trying this untill you get it.

Well, you know that bridge? You go over there on Vetsa's farm and go down. Then there's like loads of weeds and sticks, just follow the path to were it starts coming up to a small house. That is their house! Tada! (Or like how the harvest godess says it: Tadaaaaaa!!!)

I think you need to get galen's fp (friend points) up to at east 100 before you can do it...well, at least it didn't work for me untill I did that. Once you get it up to 100, you get to galen and nina's house BEFORE 0:00 and wait untill they enter their house. It has to be a saturday and you must not have anything equipped. You should just be able to walk to their house (i think it's from noon untill 2pm but I'm not positive...) and it should be a cut seen and you walk in on Galen and Nina's conversation...and it sould work out from there. Oh! And nina's house is south of vesta's farmhouse witch is to the right of a brige that goes over the river... ~Hope that helped~

When you first start the game you will not own a Fishing Pole. To get a free Fishing Pole you need to visit Galen. Visit his house on Saturday between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm, and Galen will present you with a fishing pole. Just make sure that you don't have a tool equipped in the red slot of your Rucksack or you won't activate the event. Remove the equipped tool and go back inside his house to try and trigger the event again. Nina also must be inside the house since she is involved in the event, and you must remember to introduce yourself to both people.

To get a fishing rod you must go to Galen/Nina's house on a saturday between the time 11:00am and 1:00pm. But must have NO TOOLS EQUIPPED at the time. When you get to Galen/Nina's house (between 11am - 1pm) wait for them to go inside then you follow, remember NO TOOLS MUST BE EQUIPPED. The scene should start. If when you go in and nothing happens, talk to Galen then Nina, then walk out the house and walk back inside. If you haven't thrown the Harvest Moon Manual Book away try reading page 13.

Okay, this is what you do, ignore everyone else.
On Saturday, go across the bridge and follow the first path that goes down, and keep following it to get to the house. Go in between 0:00 (12:00) and 4:00.
Anytime between those works. Make sure your tool slot is empty, or it won't work. I took my horse there. He won't stay home every single Saturday, so just keep trying till you get it.

you have to go in galens house at 0:00 p.m. with nothing equipped in your tool slot. I don't think it has to be raining but I'm not sure. it doesn't matter what season.

omj!! i thought i had the same problem but I realized I was in a festival day XD!! u dont have to give galen and nina anything you can trigger it on 7th, 21st, 28th of spring (all saturdays except 14th) hahahahahahaha...... anyway hope I helped. enter between noon to 2pm not 4 but 2 when galen AND nina are inside. enjoy fishing like a pro, like me (H)

Its easy all you have to do is .. On a Saturday in the spring go to the old people's house (galen's house) at 0:00 oclock exactly and follow them in ! If its not 0:00 o clock it will not work so be preperared! And one more thing if you want to be muffy's girlfriend go into the pub at 5:00 o clock (afternoon) exactly !!

Well, when I got mine (I'm just viewing the scene on my game now) it's 0:00pm, in Nina and Galen's house with nothing in my red green or blue slots. I have them both at friendship point 121, but I don't think you absolutely need this.
It's sunny, and a Saturday, and I'm in Summer.

Don't you go to Nina's house on a rainy day at noon in the winter with no equiptment equiped? I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure that is it. Nothing else worked!

Every body it's not 12:00pm(0:00pm) it's 0:00 AM!

So when you try it I was fooled erlier it was AM not PM !!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck finding the fishing rod,pole or what ever you think it is but I haven't done it yet because 12:00pm to 2:00pm takes 2 days right? Any way I hope my message can help

Look, guys (and gals) all you have to do is go into Galen/Nina's house on a sunny Saturday at any time between 0:00 and 2:00. If at first this does not work, then talk to Galen, then Nina, leave and reenter...Voila, you have your fishing rod.Oh, and by the way, if you Cast your rod into your pond , you rescue a Harvest Sprite!!

The 2nd comment is right , you go to galen and nina's in spring , on a sunny day , with mothing in the pink , green or blue box at 12pm and you hear him talking to nina about how he has a fishing rod tht he don't use and he asks you if you want it and then you say yes , hope I helped

You have to have nothing in the red box(the others don't matter)at twelve(0:00)exactly(don't know about before but not after)in any season I did it on Summer

Glens house is at the top of the hill were that land goes aroumd the hill. Oh, and all of you gys are RONG. You go to his house between 11:30 and 12:30 on a sunny spring saturday. Trust me, I have the fishing rod.

Go to:
- Galen's house
- 6:00 am to 7:00 am
- 11:50 am to midnight
- Saturday
- Have nothing equipped in your Tool slot (red slot)

P.S. Time may not be correct. Just remember that both Nina and Galen must be in the house in order to activate this cutscene. Plus, you must have met both people.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO TOOL EQUIPPED and enter Galen's house on a sunny Saturday between 12:00 pm (0:00) to 2:00. Make sure that Nina and Galen are both inside. This is the correct so please try it. I tried so I'm sure this is the correct answer

Pretty sure it's noon until 4 but I still haven't got a rod yet either so I'm not sure. Definitly has to be a Saturday though. Also what's all this about getting his friend points up? What does he like, better not be something stupid like a fish with 6 eyes or whatever...

It has to be a sunny saterday in spring. When I got my fishing rod, I just went to that area, started working and at 2 o'clock I went in. If you go at 12 (o:00) only galen would have gone in. Hope I helped.

Hiya guys,
Right, I am going to be telling you how to get the fishing rod on harvest moon.
It has to be springtime. Make sure that the date is a multiple of 7 except 14 (7,21,28) and it's a clear day. Between the times of 0:00-2:00, head over to Nina and Galen's House. Walk in between 0:00-2:00 with nothing in the three boxes in your rucksack (nothing equipped). All this should hopefully trigger the event where Galen finds his fishing rod and gives this to you. Right, I have got it on my DS screen right now.

It's a sunny/clear Saturday at 12 noon (0:00) I have nothing equipped in my tool thing (red box) and both Nina and Galen have gone inside, they go in at 11:50. You follow and the whole scene begins. But make sure you have your DS on charge while your doing it as mine just died.. :'(

you get the fishing rod by going to galen's house on saterday between 12pm and 2pm. Make sure nina is there too because she is part of the cutsceen. Also make sure you have no tool equipted.
DO NOT go to the goddess pond to get the fishing rod, you will not get a rod if you do.
do not worry about the fishing rod in the begging of the game because it is not required to have it unless you want fish to comlpete the shipping list or find more sprite. Hope I helped!

It has to be on saterday and it's the two old people you talk to (old man)is who you talk to but they both have to be there for the scene to activate
