Question for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1

I am in the cafe early in the game and have taken out the death eaters.I understand I need to walk forward and upstairs but the tables and chairs are lying all over the floor and cannot walk past them

When I played that bit of the game, once i'd destroyed all of the death-eaters that kept appearing (which required using that new spell that freezes them that hermione helps you to do- press down, basically), the game just cut to an animation, and then moved on to the next part of the game... So perhaps it's that you're not killing all of the death-eaters, or something? Cos you can't move on until you have. On the other hand, maybe you're game's broken of something :L
