I put in the get any monster next battle cheat and set it up for black dragon and I know it's right I've checked it. Anyway when I go into a battle to get him the screen just turns black and my game just stops. Am I doing something wrong?

Sometimes the action replay likes to put in numbers and leters when you move the little black bocks with the orange arows.
The cheat you have used might be wrong. I have tried a dragovian lord cheat before but it turned out to be an invisible monster with it's name "DUMMY9874" or something like that, and if you try to attack or scout it the game will freeze. So possibly the cheat you got was a wrong/fake one even thought the name says Black Dragon. Try getting a black dragon cheat from somewhere else?

Well to synthesis one you need a bone baron and a great dragon. If your in monster matchmaking and you find a bone baron and you have a great dragon, pick the bone baron and get your great dragon and fuse them together and you have a black dragon.
