how do i get more digimon to follow me?

I want to know how to get more digimon to follow me...like wats the point of digiconverting as well?

You only have a limit of six digimon in your party, and only three follow you that can be seen. Digiconverting helps you get stronger digimon by making them dedigivolve back to their previous stage. Their previous stage form will be stronger than last time it was that stage. You can get more digimon by digiconverting than you can by releasing and catching all the others.
