When your about to visit your recruted pokemon but takes time choosing/finding which pokemon to visit then walk to the left at your team base but when you are walking there,hold the left button and the R button at the same time(Hold <- + R at the same time)and you'll skip the friend page and go to the map to visit the recruited pokemon.
