More Time with dog:
Brush dog, leave open and ever 5-10 minutes, touch the screen. Do not BRUSH the dog though. This results in better presents, less trash, and other dogs are more docile.

Happy and Easy Win:
In disk competions when your dog runs back and shows the disk, rub it's head til sparkles so your dog will love you more AND you wont have to tug hard for the disk. Saves lots of time!

Approaching a New Friend/Fiend:
When you encounter another dog, to become friends, wait til the other dog is down like the Lie Down trick. Then, cautiously approach... If your dog shakes it's head, tug back because he's going to charge! Stay calm, stay cool, and get the heck outta there if the other is EVIL!!!

Obedience 10;: Injstead of toucing the touch screen, call your dog. Teach tricks with one sylable. Ex: Lie Down -> Down. Roll Over -> back. Practice everyday and praise dog only if done correctly. My 1st trial got me 10.00, 10.00, and 10.00 with this tactic.

The dogs can't have babies!

Your dogs grow the more your with them e.g my first dog (had for year) spent 19hrs with herand bought a dog (same breed) and my dog was MASSIVE compared to the newbie soo there dogs do grow ;P

Gain 22000 Trainer points.

After you get the clover clock and the lucky collar then put the collar on and choose the clock and go for a walk. You will find all sorts of items when you go over the blue "?".

The last place to go is the park (while on the walk), then change your lucky collar out with any kind of accecory, ten tap the back arrow (this will save the items you just got on the walk), then turn off your game.

Turn your game back on (you know how to get the game going), and put your lucky collar back on then go on the walk again.
This works every time and is unlimited.

P.s. This works better when your dog can walk very far.

Every time you walk your dog go to the bottom shop on the map. There will be a differant item like balloon or a dog biscuit, each time.

While you are taking your dog out for a walk you might see adot on the map. The dot is an item or another person's dog.

First get all the blue ? Boxes you can then go home. When you start to walk press L (don't hold it) until you get to a blue ? Box. If it's a present it will say "looks like your pet has found something." Hold the up button ( don't press it hold it)and press the arrow. You have a 30-40 percent chance that you will get a rare item. That's my hint:

You don't have to find certain things on walks or have so many trainer points to get a new breed, just connect in bark mode with somebody who has the kind of dog you want. Make sure you connect for more than like 30 seconds, though

If you want presents and you don't want to go on a walk you need to you wait a while with out doing anything, then your dog walks out the door and soon then he/she will come back in with a present.

Thats how you get presents without going on a walk!

The easiest contest to get money is the agility contest after you practice I bet it will be the easiest one for you too.

It's not really a hint but it is funny if you call your dog to bring you an item while it is facing the other way sometimes it's head will flip all the way around

When you go to bed. Wash Your dog and brush it but leave it on and don't brush your dog. Then wake up and you should have 500+ extra trainer points.
Remember to leave your Ds on charge =P

You know if you accidently skip a day maybe because you're very busy - you lose trainer points and your dog can get dirty and very thirsty and hungry.

If you know you're not going to be able to deal with your dogs - maybe you're going out of have a family do then follow these instructions:

1) Make sure all the dogs are fed, watered and clean then plug DS into the mains adaptor. VERY IMPORTANT!

2) Select one of your dogs to go for a walk.

3) When you're on the route planning screen, just close your DS so it goes into standby. ( you can even plan your route and OK it and when your dog appears close the DS).

4) When you come back the next day or so, open your DS, you can either take your dog for a walk or cancel the walk, either way, ALL the dogs are in the same condition you left them in and the dog you took for a walk will be clean and need a bit of water.

This is the same regardless how long you leave it. I found this out by accident when I was walking my dog I put it in to stand by and forgot about it til the next day!

So if you know you can't tend to them all day every day, follow this cheat to keep ya pups (and your parents) happy!!! :)

When walking your dog, go to the discount shop on the way, But make sure it's the bottom one cause thats where you can buy the best toys like ballons, keyboards, skipping rope, pull rope and so on... There are lots of fantastic toys that you can buy and find.

While walkin your dogs look at the dog on the top screen. The dog on the map will stop before the dog on the bottom screen if there is a present on the floor or if there is garbage.

There is a way to train your dog for each contest. The disk contest can be trained for on the filed when walking your dog. Make sure there are no other dogs on the filed first. Simply throw a disk to your dog and have him return it. For the agility contest go to the gym when walking to train. For the obedience contest keep telling your dog to do the needed tricks over and over again.

When your on a walk look at the top screen if you dog stops and the bottom screen your dog will

Still be runnin. Start slowing your dog down than there will be a present...ect. If your on a walk and you go through a question mark, if your dog barks one time that means a

Present, if it barks twice that means a dog. This works for any Nitendogs.

Teach your dog to sit and jump. While it is sitting, tell it to jump. Your dog should do a back flip.

Teach your dog to roll over and jump. Tell it to roll over then quickly have it jump. It should flip forward onto it's legs, with something that resembles a Kung Fu-style move.

Hi, I found out some other tricks that arent mentioned in the dog books:

When you dog is begging gently hold it's paw and and pull it up-wards.
Sometimes it will pull it's paw away, but if your patient you will soon get it to stand on it's back legs! I called this trick walk!

Another one is:
When your dog is begging say spin and it should hop round on it's back legs!
This worked with my Labrador, Spring because it's more obidient, but i'm having trouble teaching it to my poodle, Kipper and my shu Tzuh, Rawbin
