How Do I Defeat The Octopus Boss?

I have 40 balloons, all the keys, the T.T. Amulet, and now all I have to do is defeat the octopus, to face Wiz Pig and unlock Future Fun Land. Does it matter who I use? I know about the Green boosts but there are no zippers so I do it with the blue balloons but I can't keep up...any tips would be great!

The best thing to do against him is to watch where he puts bubbles and to shoot him when possible. It's actually best to stay behind him and collect missles for the first lap and then try to work on getting ahead because once your ahead of him you usually stay ahead for the rest of the race.
