Introduction

Mario Kart DS is Mario Kart on the Nintendo DS. It is a very good game and a personal favourite of mine. It's not complicated and there is a lot of stuff to do like the Grand Prix, Time Trials, Battle and the unique mission mode. And if you get bored of them, you can always play online.

Graphics

The graphics aren't amazing but their not terrible. If you ask me, graphics don't affect game play at all. When you think about it the Nintendo DS doesn't have particularly great graphics as I can't remember a DS game besides Pokemon with better than average DS graphics.

Sound

The soundtrack is not that great unless you like listening to Mario songs. Again, not considered an aspect of game play. If you don't like the songs then you can just turn the volume down and the problem is solved, althoough I don't know anyone who is bothered by Mario jingles.

Gameplay

The game play is so simple yet so entertaining. It just appeals to every one in general. If you every get bored of playing on your own you can either find a couple of friends and play with them, which is really fun or you can play online if you have Wi-Fi, which never gets boring.

Lastability

Mario Kart lasts people a long time as there is a lot to do and you wouldn't get bored of it for a while. Even when you do eventually get bored of racing online or against your friends, you would want to keep it for a while. I know I wouldn't trade mine in.

Overall

Overall a very good game and it is probably my favorite Nintendo DS game. It was so good that when I lost it on holiday I went straight to GameStop and bought another. I was pretty angry when my little brother lost it after I got home and I haven't seen it in a while but I suggest getting it if your looking for a good DS game.
