What to do if minecraft wont open in ipad

I tried pressing the minecraft app in my ipad mini and it only shows the mojang picture then goes back to the home page of ipad

There are a couple ways to fix this that I found out when this happened to me; 1. Double click the home button and swipe the minecraft picture/icon up to reset the game. 2. Hold down the power button for a couple seconds until it asks you to swipe a bar, swipe this bar and your iPad shuts down, hold the button down again to turn it back on. This should work.

It just freezes after I open my world and it stays that way forever until I reset. I think either Mojang should fix it or give us a more recent solution because I've found nothing anywhere on the Internet.

I mistakenly deleted my Minecraft app from my iPad. Trying to reinstall and it list the app as in my past purchases . The app has the open tab listed as if it knows I have already purchased it, but it will not open. Have restarted the iPad , but still the same. Just wondered if anyone else has seen this , my son also has an Xbox live account which he linked to the iPad , not sure if this is connected. Any ideas ??

It goes past the Mojang logo, and never finishes loading the Minecraft bar. It just freezes up, and it won’t work. I have been working really hard on a single Survival world, and I don’t want to uninstall it because I might lose the whole thing, I have also had issues yesterday, where whole chests of Items in my house would become invisible, and could not be opened. I tried breaking the chests, and all the items would not drop. This has set me back several hours. It was also freezing up while playing, and I would have to close it and reopen it again every 3 minutes or so, and I was getting really frustrated. I’ve tried connecting the iPad to my phones hotspot, and several other things, but none of them worked.

Same for me here, tried restarting my iPad but it gets to just past halfway on the loading bar then crashes. I also had the problem with the invisible chest, but it was a massive creative world i was working on so it wasn’t really a problem

Same here. Reverts back to my homepage every time I try to open it. I've restarted my Ipad, swiped up, swiped up and restarted. All of the tricks in the book that have worked for me before. It's just not working.

Mine doesnt work either on iPad air1. And there is no resolution on the Internet or from majong no refund no advance warning that it won't work no specs on what iOS version is needed all I got was robbed of my money!!!

I had this same problem- here’s what fixed it for me.
Turn off Wi-Fi/mobile data on your device.
Refresh the Minecraft app.
Reopen, and relogin to your Xbox account.
The issue is with Xbox live not the app itself.
