How do I make it night
I want to sleep in the bed but it is never dark

You are probably using creative mode to make it night you have to go into survival mode you won't have any Resources you have to gather them in survival mode

If you're playing in creative it doesn't go dark, so you can't sleep in the beds. If you're in survival it should go dark at some point
