Question for Minecraft: Pocket Edition

I'm on pocket edition and I want to breed baby chickens I know that you need to feed two of them wheat when they are close together but I don't know how to feed them?

Once and for all, why baby animals? You can't breed them! Only adult ones can be breed.

I already like quadrupled my chicken count from this morning haha

You need to feed them seeds, not wheat.
