Why can't I pick up items sometimes?

Question for Minecraft: Pocket Edition
Why can't I pick up items sometimes? It's on and off, but I'll make a tool or melt stone into coal or kill an animal and I'll walk to it and I can't pick it up!! I've emptied out my inventory completely of the cobblestone and dirt also.

It's lag, it happens to me a lot. It might come later on, but not all the time.

That is curently happening to me at the moment...I'm assuming it's a lag and I'm going to try again tomorrow!! I suggest you do the same. If not wait a couple more days...and if still doing that lag contact minecraft team or delete and re download💕

Me too, I can not pick up thinks either, for example I made an axe and I can't pick it up. I waited for so many days too. And I don't want to delete the app because it would get rid of the things I built in creative. :(
