Question for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4

I'm stuck in year 1 potions. Following directions and stirring but nothing happens. I have to turn off game to get out of this. Glitch?

You have to follow the directions and stir the right way (there should be a blue line showing the direction) and only stir until it changes to the right colour (it will show you the right colour at the end of the in strucion panel) to much or to little and it won't work

When there's a hammer, touch the moth.
When's there a knife, move your finger in the direction of the knife. When there's a log, follow the log.

On year one the hammer keeps on smacking the moth and it wont stop. What do I do?

You don't always stir the same direction...check instructions for each ingredient to see which direction. Also, once you've got it stirred enough and it turns the right color, there will be a puff of smoke...STOP stirring.

Thing for potions you need to stir till it turns the color it shows you on the little key
