The best way to get Gems is to complete the achievements in the game. You should try not to spend Gems on anything except Builders Huts really. Complete achievements and clear obstacles (like rocks and bushes) in your camp to also get Gems.

The best way is the gem box because it is green and has a lot of Gems and it is beutiful

As long as you have good economy skills and save your Gems from achievements and clearing your base of trees and bushes you should have alot of gems
