I keep hearing about a blackout because prices for food are going up. Does anyone have any info on this?

Yes! It's October 1-13.
Not just food prices, but prices for all design stuff and expansions have doubled! No buying gems during this period!!!
Also, nobody is supposed to buy design stuff/expand/bake/etc. During these two weeks.

Recently, TeamLava doubled the prices of EVERYTHING that costs coins. This includes the cost of food, expansions, everything. Luckily, TeamLava did not double the prices of gem items.
