Introduction =============================================================================== Hello Everybody, and welcome to another one of my FAQs. Thank you for reading and enjoy! =============================================================================== B. About Poke Spots =============================================================================== Unlike Pokemon Collosuem, XD allows you to actually catch pokemon! While there isn't very many pokemon that can be cauht, it is a nice change from Collosuem. The places where you can catch Pokemon are called Poke Spots. There is three Poke Spots. Rock Poke Spot, Oasis Poke Spot, and Cave Poke Spot. They were discovered by Duking. (Thank you Duking, for these wonderful little places!) =============================================================================== C. Rock Poke Spot =============================================================================== (Item Checklist: 10 Poke Snacks, Spot Monitor) When you first arrive here at the Rock Poke Spot, you'll see Duking in an interview with a Reporter. Duking will ask you to join the interview and hand you 10 Poke Snacks to demonstrate how they work. Set a few of them on the stone circle behind you. Once you do that Duking will give you the PDA attachment Spot Monior. Before Duking leaves, he will mark the Oasis Poke Spot on your map. To cath Pokemon at the Poke Spots, you will need to leave Poke Snacks on the tray in the center of a Poke Spot. The Spot Monitor allows you to keep tabs on each Poke Spot as you continue along your journey. The monitor will alert you when a Pokemon shows up at a Poke Spot. If the signal is slow, it means a common Pokemon has shown up. If it's faster, it means a rare Pokemon has shown up. How many Snacks you left for the Pokemon will determine how long it will wait for you, so you'd best hurry! The list below shows each Pokemon that can be caught at the Rock Poke Spot. Including their Type,(Normal, Ground etc.) and their Rarity, evolved forms which they change into after gaining levels, by using stones on them,(Water Stone, Fire Stone etc.) or by leveling up when friendly to the trainer or holding certain held items when leveling up: +============================================+===========================+ | POKEMON CAUGHT AT THE ROCK POKE SPOT | +==============+==============+==============+===========================+ | Pokemon's | Rarity: | Type: | Evolutions: | Pokemon's | | Name: | | | | Ability: | +==============+==============+==============+=============+=============+ | SANDSHREW | COMMON | GROUND | Lvl 22: | SAND VEIL | | | | | SANDSLASH | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------+--------------+--------------+-------------+-------------+ | GLIGAR | RARE | GROUND/FLYING| NONE | SAND VEIL/ | | | | | | HYPER CUTTER| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------+--------------+--------------+-------------+-------------+ | TRAPINCH | RARE | GROUND | Lvl 35: | SAND TRAP/ | | | | | VIBRAVA | HYPER CUTTER| | | | | | | | | | | Lvl 45: | | | | | | FLYGON | | +--------------+--------------+--------------+-------------+-------------+ If you run out of Poke Snacks, don't worry about it. Cave Poke Spot =============================================================================== (Item Checklist: Miror Radar) +============================================+===========================+ | POKEMON CAUGHT AT THE CAVE POKE SPOT | +==============+==============+==============+===========================+ | Pokemon's | Rarity: | Type: | Evolutions: | Pokemon's | | Name: | | | | Ability: | +==============+==============+==============+=============+=============+ | ZUBAT | COMMON | POISON/FLYING| Lvl 22: | INNER FOCUS | | | | | GOLBAT | | | | | | | | | | | | Lvl UP WHEN | | | | | | FRIENDLY: | | | | | | CROBAT | | +--------------+--------------+--------------+-------------+-------------+ | ARON | RARE | STEEL/ROCK | Lvl 32: | STURDY/ROCK | | | | | LAIRON | HEAD | | | | | | | | | | | Lvl 42: | | | | | | AGGRON | | +--------------+--------------+--------------+-------------+-------------+ | WOOPER | RARE | WATER/GROUND | Lvl 20: | DAMP/WATER | | | | | QUAGSIRE | ABSORB | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------+--------------+--------------+-------------+-------------+ When you first enter the Cave Poke Spot, you'll see Trudly and Folly. Shortly afterwards, Miror B will show up, and it's time to fight! +============================================+===========================+ | BOSS BATTLE: WANDERER MIROR B/Pokemon: Three Lombres at Lvl 17, Shadow| | PokemoN: Voltorb, Lvl 20. | +==============+==============+==============+===========================+ | One notable thing about Miror B is that he has 3 Lombres, which are | | Grass-and-Water-type. They have Rain Dance, a Water-type move to power | | their Water-type moves, and Mega Drain, a Grass-type move to absorb | | their opponents HP and heal themselves. You can use a Grass-type Poke- | | yourself to absorb their Grass-and-Water-type moves. Or you can use a | | or a Flying type Pokemon and they're both strong Defensively and Of- | | fensesively against Grass Pokemon. Don't forget to snag his Shadow | | Pokemon Voltorb, which will be a very nice addition to your team! | ========================================================================== After you beat Miror B, Folly and Trudly will run away and drop their Miror Radar. This device works pretty much like the Shadow Monitor, except it alerts you when Miror B has been spotted in a certain area! When the Miror B symbol appears, go to Key Items in your inventory and see where Miror B's locaton is! He normally visits places or battles. So when you enter the location it says he's at, head for the Collosuem. If Fudly and Trolly are there, you are at the right place. =============================================================================== F. The Munchlax Encounter! =============================================================================== (Item Checklist: Herbal-type Medicine, 10 Poke Snacks) Sometimes when your Spot Monitor goes off, you'll head to the Poke Spot and En- counter Munchlax.(whom my girlfriend says is adorably cute) You can't catch Munchlax, but keep it busy until it's owner appears. Once the owner appears, you'll find out it's the Herbal Shop Owner's Pokemon. She'll apologize for Munchlax eating up your Poke Snacks and give you 10 Poke Snacks and a free sample of Herbal medicine. Her shop is now-open in Gateon Port! And yes, you guessed it, Munchlax is the pre-evovled form of Snorlax.(Snorlax has gotta be the most boring damn Pokemon ever) =============================================================================== G. The Bonsly Encounter =============================================================================== (Item Checklist: Leftovers, Bonsly Card) When on the S.S. Libra, you'll encounter Bonsly, the pre-evovled form of Bonsly. You'll want to approach it slowly by applying little pressure to the control stick very slowly and sneak up behind it. But just when you are about to catch it your PDA will sound and scare it off, but it will leave behind Leftovers. After you encounter it at S.S. Libra there is a chance you'll encounter it again at a Poke Spot like you did with Munchlax. Once you've encountered it again, you'll have to approach it slowly like you did on the S.S. Libra. Once you've caught it, it's owner will appear and reward you with the Bonsly Card which can be used for Battle Bingo in Realgam Tower! =============================================================================== H.
