Dodongo's Cavern

I'm playing Master Quest and I am in Dodongo's Cavern and I blew up all the bomb flowers along the wall and the stairs went up. So I went up the giant stairs and I'm suppose to collect 5 silver rupees. But I don't know how to break the boxes. I've broken some with bomb flowers but I can't take bomb flowers up the stairs to break the boxes I need. So I was wondering if anyone knew what I should do?
I checked and we don't get bombs until later in the Cavern.

Did you try rolling into it - running toward it and hitting the A button...
