OK that helps knowing I don't have keep dying in that place then what do I do after I finish dodongo's cavern If I don't go up there?

OK I haven't played this in a while, but if I remember rightly then you have to go to see the Zoras next. If you stand outside Kakariko village then follow the river away from Hyrule castle. Or you can jump into the river and let it carry you there
