You can't play as them but I'm pretty sure koopa shell is one of the items.
Well there is koopa on adventure (the ones that move around and try to hit you) and perin is jiggl.ypuff.
If you change it to the japanese setting, the announcer calls bowser, koopa and jigglypuff perin so I guess they do.
Koopa can be gotten with AR codes.
I don't know who Perin is though so I'm guessing he can't be gotten .
You can't play as them but they appear as enemies while going through the mario stage of adventure mode.
Your friends are half right and half wrong, you can't get the characters your thinking about. Puren is the Japanese name for Jigalypuff and Koopa is Bowser.
To see what I mean set the language to japanese. When the language is japanese check the Trothie collection it shows different systems.
That was a rumor started on a website called cheatplanet.
It's a load of rubbish so don't waste your time.
There is only a few koopas on adventure mode.
I've never heard of Perin.
Koopa is what Bowser is called in Japanese because, remember he is King Koopa.
But I assume your friend is referring to the Koopa you can get with an AR. Perin is Jigglypuff in Japanese, so your friend played you there.
They do exist! Change the languages to Japanese then go to multiplayer and you'll see that Bowser is koopa (koopa king, get it?) and Jugglypuff will be Purin (uh, I don't know why). There you go.
