You need to unlock some more Characters or Arenas...
Since I don't know which ones you already have...
These are all of the hidden Characters:
Dr. Mario, Luigi, Ganondorf, Falco, Young Link, Pichu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Mr. Game & Watch, Marth, Roy
These are all of the hidden Arenas:
Flat Zone, Brinstar Depths, Fourside, Big Blue, Pok� Floats, Mushroom Kingdom II, Battlefield, Final Destination, Dream Land, Yoshi's Island, Kongo Jungle

Successfully complete the first 30 events and unlock Jigglypuff, Luigi, Dr. Mario, Falco, and Young Link to unlock events #31-#39. Thats all you got to do, lol
