You can only play as Giga Bowser with Action Replay, or you can beat Adventure mode on Very Hard with one life and no continues as Kirby and suck up Giga Bowser.

You can only play as Giga Bowser with an AR(Action Replay)
You can fight Giga Bowser One-On-One in Adventure mode.
Just have the difficulty setting at Normal and beat it under
18 minutes to fight him.

Action Replay is the only way to unlock him as a character.
Defeating Giga Bowser in Hard or Very Hard can unlock the Giga Bowser trophy, if you don't die.

There Is a way. I have played as him before! It's Been a While so I don't Remember. It has a Relation to P4 and the Mater hand Glitch. Crzy hand is P2 Hope I helped!
