Question for Star Fox Adventures

Ok quick question:

You know after you beat galdon and you get to moon mountain pass.

I'm stuck finding the key to unlock the door.

When you first get out of the Arwing from Darkice Mines, a Thorntail guy will tell you the beacons have been put out. There is a fireweeed tree across the river. It is on fire. Whack it and tumbleweeds that are on fire will come out. Hit a few tumbleweeds and bring them to the beacons. When Prince Tricky has flamed all of them, a Thorntail guy will give you a key to Moon Mountain Pass.
