How do you find the elder that gives you the spinpole move

Hi, it's ok I was stuck on this for a wile to: in the swamp there is a moneybags shop pad called "Elders tree". Near it will be if you (havn't alredy got it), a dark gem. Smash it and the tree will become acessable. You will see an opening and the elder is in there.
