Question for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

I activated a cheat from action replay to turn the chao into a chaos light chao.

When I got in the chao garden nothing happened! Every chao is normal as it was... What do I have to do to make the code work??

Ok your chao has to of reincarnated at least twice then type in the code
