I don't know the exact time length - but I do know that it's a VERY LONG time - MANY HOURS of play time in a Chao Garden!!!!!
It depends how you train it. If you train it alot it will age quicker. I Have a chao who already went into a pink cacoon (at about 6) and I have another chao for the same amount of time and he is only 1. When a chao goes into a pink cacoon he becomes an egg again and hatches a 0 he is already about 2 now.
5 hours. Depends on each chao. It will be sped up if you give it alot of food,
