How do you get the shovel and watering can after you unlock them from the beginner chao races.

Once you unlock theem from biginer race your chao has them but it needs to be smart anoguh to use it. After that just give him a seed. When I give mine a seed he takes a while to plant it but I think thats normal

You have to buy a seed from the Black Market and give it to the chao that won the shovel and the watering can. Then that chao will look for a place to plant it then it will use the shovel to dig a hole then plant the seed and use the watering can to help the plant grow.
