I am wondering can you get howen starters in the game without trading?

Hoenn Starters...... Hm...... Um, I don't beleive so. You have to trade.
You can get the johto starters without trading. You have to win 100 straight battles without changing your team on mt battle. Each time you do this, you can get a starter you didn't choose.
