How can I get more purple Pikmin fast?

Well...there are only 2 ways that you can get purples in caves fast.
1. Valley of Repose, Subterranean Complex, Sublevel 8. (that's also a great resting spot, before the Machine Gun Spider).

2. Glutton's Kitchen, Sublevels 2 and 5. (Better off to wait until Sublevel 5, as it also has Buds that increase your total amount of Pikmin)

Well, check out Pik2 hints and cheats, I submitted (over the days) lots of cheats, each pages long. Today is submitted around 2 or 3, forgot. I give lots of hints and tips and the one i typed today tell how to get 999 of every kind of pikmin without cheating in one sublevel, wait for it to be approved =)

in the vally of repose theres a cave(i dont know what cave)that cave gives you 15purple.that means 3purple flowers.
but i think its a rusty place.

Subterranean Complex is best, but the kitchen is good too. To start out, just go to the Emergence Cave in the Valley of Repose to get 20 total.

I went with the gluttons kitchen and that got me 20 in a quarter of a day. That is a very good choice. I went to the 5th sub level bringing 5 of my reds. (use the species with the highest onion count) Go through sub levels 1-4 with just your captain. Once you reach 5, find the purple flower, throw the pikmin in and "Give up and Escape"

Going to the Glutton's Kitchen in the Perplexing Pool is a very good way. Bring at least five pikmin, preferably yellow ones, make your way to the 5th sublevel, and turn them into purple pikmin with the purple flower there. You can do this as many times as you want in a day.

I actually like using the submerged castle to get purples. It's not as dangerous when you're not collecting treasure anymore so the waterwraith most likely won't appear since you're going through fast. And then you can use bulmin to turn into purples so you technically don't lose any pikmin of other types.

How to get purples and advice on frontier cavern boss


In fronteir cavern There are some violet candy pop flowers on sub level 3 (if you're lucky) and 5 along with a lapuis and ivory flowers. You can escape right from the get-go at the half way point level five. You can get the brute knuckles here and they allow you to beat down on enemies.

Frontier cavern has ten levels and the boss is one you already faced only this time she disgustingly creates Bulborbs in their larva state. They chase your captains down and deal allot of damage to your captains, regardless of if you obtained the Metal Suit Z or not. Take one captain and use the rocket fists you did or wish you did and defeat each of them until you get to their... Spawn point the larva will focus on taking out that captain (it's okay if they do). Use the other captain (if you have him) and all your pikmin and bulbmin to the tunnel furthest left on the hill. Get to the front of the empress bulbax and have you other captain or dismiss all pikmin and defeat the remaining larva.

Easy win: Get back to the front where all your pikmin are and throw them onto her head. She will roar in agony a few times when she stops call all your pikmin to you, she will shake them off, then she will start rolling around and kill her own young on her own. Make sure that you have both captains and focus on throwing reds and bulbmin then repeat the process. Afterwards you will get a little girl's shoe that increases speed and puff hogs wind blow won't knock you over. Purple pikmin are immune to the puff hogs blow attack but still lose their flowers.
