Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Questions

Please help me! I am in the Fahr Outpost and I have the guide. It is telling me to talk to the Bomb-omb who has the mustache, and I am! But, all he will say is that it is a "nice day." I am so frustrated! Please help!

What you have to do is go to the Thousand-Year Door and give the power of the star you got from Cortez to it. Then it will tell you to go to Fahr Outpost. WHen you are there, bring out Bobbery(The Bomb-omb) and talk to the chief. He will tell you that you can use his cannon only if you go back and find Goldbob and General White. To get Goldbob to give you the instruction manual, you talk to him in Poshly Heights. Then while in the conversation, tell him you will give him all of your coins for it.(He won't actually keep all of your coins) Then the looooooooong journey for General White. What you have to do is go to the sewers on the west side(The side where you have to slide through the sewer) and keep going down till you reach the water. Then go right and there should be some huge blocks. Break them with your super hammer and spin jump on the blue switches. You should find pipes that come out of the ground. There are four of them and one of them should take you to Petalburg.(There are some pipes to the right) Then talk to the koopa at the entrance. He will tell you to go somewhere else. If he tells you to go to Glitzville, talk to the guy in the juice bar. If he tells you to go to the Great Tree, talk to the Puni Elder. If he tells you to go to the dark place, talk to everyone.(One of the people there will tell you where to go) Soon enough, one person will tell you that he went home or something like that. You have to go to Fahr Outpost again. If you go where the mayor is there is this house and General White will be there. You have to continuously try to wake him up. Then the mayor will let you use the cannon.

That is not true. I have Admiral Bobbery out and the mayor STILL wont talk to me!

I had the same problem - you probably forgot to go back and talk to the professor again! The first time you talk to him he says he needs time to figure it out what to do, so you have to go back and speak to him again.
