I will admit that I had a hard time with Crump as well. However, the easy solution is Bobbery. Before the fight I recommend helping the party advancement person next to Frankly's house to get your partners ultra ranked. When bobbery is upgraded he learns the move Bobomblast which is a devastating attack. You will see when it is used. Him along with your sprng jump will be enough to beat Crump (just make sure you have plenty of FP recovery items.) Happy bashing. Also, if you are in the fortress, there is a room in the base that will teleport you back to rogueport if you need.
