Getting back to the moon

I made it to the moon and inside the HQ place but I found the room that teleports you back to the underground city. I'm in the underground city now. How do you get back to the moon then??? I can't figure it out help please!!

Go back to the teleporter. It will take you right back to the moon I promise..........................

I don't know if there is a way. The only other answer is wrong, though, the teleporter breaks after you use it when TEC tells you to.

You can go back to the moon any time after you beat the final boss... I think...

I don't know if the people who have answered this questions have even played the game. Once you come back from the moon THE TELEPORTER IS BROKE!!! IT DOES NOT WORK!!! There's 2 flippin' Star Pieces I missed up there and apparently you're not allowed to go back and get them. Major flaw in this game....everything else about it is awesome. If they would've given you a heads up that the teleporter was a one-shot deal I would've scoured the moon with Ms. Mowz. It really sucks that you can't go back...they dropped the ball on this bigtime.
