black yoshi

Well chances are that getting a Black Yoshi is rare. So you just need to have the luck of the draw. Don't worry if you get Green. It's the most common one anyway. Basically saying it's a chance of rarity. Hope this helps you out.

You get a different colored yoshi randomly each game you play.

I have a black one and I have no idea how I got it. So I guess it is the luck of the draw or what time peroid you hatched it at.

PS: I've heard that if you make your profile name the colour you want your yoshi to be, it will turn out that colour

Ok heres what you do save before fighting the armored twins then battle or most common run away then when you go back to your room the egg isn't there then you get the Yoshi if you don't like the color reset your game cube and do it again until you get your favorite color

P.s the white is the rarest

From the time the egg joins you to the time you fun from the Armored Harriers determines the color.
0-6 min = green
6-9 min = red
9-11 min = blue
11-15 min = orange
15-18 min = pink
18-19 min = black
19-20 min = white (looks like an off pink)

The Yoshi you get depends on how long it takes to hatch. Timer starts after you reach the egg atop the Hot Dog Stand.

Green 0-6 min
Red 6-9 min
Blue 9-11 min
Orange 11-15 min
Pink 15-18 min
Black 18-19 min
White 19-20 min (timer resets after 20 min)

NOTE: Naming your file a Yoshi color will NOT I repeat NOT make your Yoshi that color. If it worked for you, it was just a coincidence.

Save before the egg hatches, when you just get ranked 11th. Then you will have to lose and you will come in and see him. If you don't like the color restart(thats why you should save) keep doing this until you get the color you want.
