Well chances are that getting a Black Yoshi is rare. So you just need to have the luck of the draw. Don't worry if you get Green. It's the most common one anyway. Basically saying it's a chance of rarity. Hope this helps you out.

I have a black one and I have no idea how I got it. So I guess it is the luck of the draw or what time peroid you hatched it at.
PS: I've heard that if you make your profile name the colour you want your yoshi to be, it will turn out that colour

Ok heres what you do save before fighting the armored twins then battle or most common run away then when you go back to your room the egg isn't there then you get the Yoshi if you don't like the color reset your game cube and do it again until you get your favorite color

P.s the white is the rarest
